Templates: Create Campaign

Create effective templates that meet your communication needs

REVE Chat's WhatsApp Campaign feature allows users to create customized message templates directly within the system. This guide will walk you through the steps required to create a template, detailing the necessary fields and options available.

How to create a template

Fill up the form

Navigate to the template tab under broadcast & click "Create Template" at the top right corner.

A new pop-up will appear where you will have to-

  • Template Name: Enter a unique and descriptive name for your template. But keep in mind that only lowercase letters are excepted.

  • Channel: Choose the communication channel for the template, where currently, only WhatsApp is available

  • WhatsApp Business Number: Choose the WhatsApp number through which the template will be sent. Keep in mind that the number must be integrated with the system

  • Category: Choose your required category that best fits your message type. Currently, custom message under marketing is available for selection. Product message, utility & authentication are coming soon.

  • Default Language: In the 'Default Language' dropdown, select the language in which the template will be created.

Template Builder

After filling out the pop-up form, you will land in the template builder page like below. Here you can add a header, footer, buttons to your template. The body element is enabled by default and mandatory.

Header Element

The header is the first part of the template that the recipient sees. It can include text, image, video, file or location. After enabling the header element you have to select the header type from the drop down. It is an optional element that you can disable if you want.

If you select Text type, you can provide an attribute in the header element. If you do add an attribute, you need to provide a sample attribute value. If the system doesn't find any value for a contact, sample value will be attached there while sending.

Body Element

The body element is by default enabled and mandatory. You have to provide content in the body. You can only add text in the body element. A total of 8 attributes can be used and a maximum of 900 characters can be added. If you add attributes, you all need to provide sample attribute value to be sent with the message if there is no value in the contact.

Footer element is also optional and you can only add text as footer. Enter your footer text, such as a disclaimer or additional contact information.

Button

The button element is also optional. You can add multiple buttons to a template message. The maximum number of each buttons that can be used is indicated beside them. For example, Visit Website can only be used 2 times.

  • Visit Website: After selecting the visit website button, you have to provide a button label that will be visible to your customers, receivers. And you have paste the website url link below.

  • Cell Phone Number: Similar to the one before, we have to provide a button label that will be visible to the receivers/ customers when they receive this message. And we also have to provide a phone number, that will be delivered to the customers as a message when they interact with the button.

  • Copy Offer Code: With this button, you can provide certain amount of discount code when a customer interacts with button. Besides providing a special discount code, businesses open 24hr time conversation time frame.

  • Marketing Opt-out: This button is used when businesses wants to give their customers a choice if they don't want to receive future marketing campaign messages. If the customers interact with this button, they will not receive any further marketing messages.

  • Custom Button: You can add a custom button that will trigger a certain chatbot and serve your customers automatically.

Creating WhatsApp templates within the system is a streamlined process that allows for better management and customization of your marketing campaigns.
