OpenCart is a PHP based shopping cart software. To get started, all you need to do is simply install, choose the preferred template and add your product offerings. That’s it! You are ready to sell online.
If you have created your online store on the OpenCart platform and want to offer live chat assistance to your website visitors then REVE Chat is the perfect one. REVE Chat has come up with its own live chat plugin for OpenCart platform.
For using REVE Chat on your website, SIGN UP first and then follow some simple steps for OpenCart integration.
Visit www.opencart.com and then click on the ‘Extensions’ Tab. On the ‘Extensions’ page, search for ‘REVE Chat’ or to go to the REVE Chat extension page directly, click here.
● Next, download the REVE chat extension (REVE Chat OpenCart 4.0.x) and extract the zipped file ( revechat.ocmod.zip) .
Go to the extension installer page at extensions > installer
upload revechat.ocmod.zip file which you have downloaded. If name is changed after download, rename accordingly revechat.ocmod.zip.
Click install button to complete installation
Go to Extension>Modules form your OpenCart Administration panel.
Scroll down to reve chat module and click "Install"
After the successful installation, click "Edit".
Fill in the form to Login / sign up to your REVE Chat account and click on "Submit".
Now, we have to include revechat in layout pages where we want to show the reve chat plugin.
Go to the design -> layouts list
Edit the layout where you want to revechat, for example if you want to show the chat widget in the home page then you have to include revechat in the home layout. If you want to show the chat widget in the checkout page you have to include revechat in the checkout layout.
Below picture shows how we can add reve chat in the home page customizing the home layout.
